Glen Grant Sr. 62 died Monday at St. Marys hospital. Funeral services at Moran's with burial in Graceland cemetery. He was a member of the United Brethren Church of Chesterville and was an army veteran of WWII. He was a weighmaster at A.E.Staley for 41 years and retired in February.
He was born in Chesterville, son of Harry and Fern Grand. He married Irene Ledbetter in 1936.
Surviving are his wife, son Glen Dean Jr. with the army in Japan, daughter Mrs. Susie Fair of Monticello, stepmother,Mrs.Ruth Stiegemeier of Decatur, sisters, Mrs. Harriett McCarthy of Chicago,Mrs. Delores Cranford of Munster, Ind., stepbrother Robert Green of Decatur, stepsister, Mrs.Betty Pollock of Florida, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild. One brother and three sisters preceded him in death.
