MALCOLM G. BELL, 73 SUCCUMBS

Malcolm G. Bell, 73, Route 2, Nora Springs, died Tuesday at a Mason City Hospital. He had farmed in Portland Township. He had been in the hospital 20 months.

Mr. Bell was born July 16, 1889 in Nora Springs, son of Malcolm and Mary (Carrott) Bell. He was married to Gertie O'Harrow February 25, 1908
He was a lifetime member of the First Methodist Church of Mason City.

Surviving are his wife, three daughters; Mrs. Earl (Verda) Jacobs, Mason City; Arcley Nelson, Mason City; and Mrs. Richard A. (Mary) Cross, McGuire Base, New Jersey; a son Malcolm Bell, Nora Springs, 11 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two sisters; Mabel Albertson, Nora Springs, and Mrs. Merle Schroder, Ft. Dodge.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Major Memorial Chapel. Dr. George Truman Carl, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Nora Springs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel from 4:30 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service.
