LUDEVINA "BILLIE" ORIQUE BROWN (1917-2012)

Billie Brown passed away in Tulare, California Friday, June 22, 2012 at the age of 95 years.
She was born in Tulare on May 10, 1917 and lived most of her life in the Hanford area.
She spent many years working for Newberry Variety Store, Hanford Bottling, and Kit Carson School. For a few years Billie was even a full time home maker. In 1969, after her husband Danny became disable, Billie returned to work. This time, she worked as a live in attendant for Donald J. Miller at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home in Tulare. After 18 years with Miller's Billie retired, the Browns moved to Armona where they made their home for 20 years, until health issues took them back to Tulare to be closed to their son. Billie and Danny were chosen as King and Queen of Armona and rode on a float in homecoming parade in Hanford.
Billie is survived by her son Brent Brown and daughter-in-law Cindy of Randsburg, Ca., 2 grandsons Scott Brown and wife Emily and their children Tyler & Ainsley Brown of Seaside, Ca., Chris Bosquez of Seattle Wa., 3 sisters Winnie Mendes, Elenore Miller, Madeline Vincent of Hanford, sister-in-law Delores Origue of Selma, numerous nieces, nephews, God-children and friends.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Danny Brown, infant daughter Marline Brown, sisters, Belbina (BeBe) Parreira, Sara Sousa, Mary Batista, Adelaide Mendes, Josephine Berbaria, and brothers Joe Origue and Manuel Origue.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2012, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home, 151 North "H" Street, Tulare, Ca.
Recitation of the Rosary and Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at St Brigid's Catholic Church, 1001 North Douty Hanford, Ca., with burial at Calvary Cemetery, 11680 South 10th Avenue, Hanford, Ca., Arrangements are entrusted to Miller's Tulare Funeral Home. .
