From this marriage, 4 children were born: Ailsey Belle (1879-1904?); Clemmie Wright (1880-1956); Jess Ebernezer (1883-1943); John Hope (1886-1940); and Lucille Caroline (1888-1953). After her death 1894, John married second Terressa Allen Walker on 14 Jan 1896 in Franklin Co., TN. John was 20 years her senior. Only one child was born to this couple: Paul Cayce Dunaway (1896-1972). At some point (circa 1919-1930), Terressa divorced John.
John was a minister for the Primitive Baptist Church. His death certificates indicates he spent 35 years in this profession. He also lived in many different places due to the nature of this profession.
