Browns Valley, MN Jan 1904: At her home in Beardsley, big Stone County, Minn. Jan 12, 1904, of heart failure, Mrs. Joseph Branch, aged 61 years. Harriet Elizabeth Stone daughter of Julius Stone, was born in Lodi, Ohio, Oct 24, 1842. The family moved to Dane County, Wis., then to Wayne County, Ill., and in 1862 to Austin township, Mower county, Minn. She was married here, Feb. 26, 1866, to Joseph Branch. They lived here until 1879 when they moved to their farm near Beardsley, where they have since resided. The husband and one daughter, mrs. O. S. BRIGGS of Beardsley, survive. Two daughters died. Deceased was a devoted Christian worker and greatly interested in the temperance cause. She leaves two sisters, Mrs. George Dumond of Compton, Cal and Mrs. W. H. King of Beardsley. She traced her genealogy back to the early colonial period of our country.
