Roy was the twin of Ray Edward Roberts even though the two boy's birth years are recorded as 1888 (Roy) and 1889 (Ray) on their tombstones. The family have a picture of the two boys in their Baptismal dresses so we know for sure that they were twins.
They were from a large family of 7 children and their mother died in 1902 of a heart attack after chasing after a cow that had gotten loose. The older siblings kept the family together until about 1906 when most of the family moved out to California. It appears Roy and Ray joined with them there.
Roy apparently married a lady by the name of Elizabeth, but we don't know much else about him.
