Daughter of James William Eddens and Sarah Ann “Sadie” Elder, wife of Charles Boyd Luck, whom she married on November 29, 1892 in Richmond, Virginia.

Obituary - Luck - Died at a local hospital January 3, 1941, Mrs. Verna Eddens Luck, widow of the late Charles B. Luck. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. W.J. Whipple of Richmond, one brother, Stephen T. Eddens of Birmingham, Ala.; Miss Addie Franklin and Mrs. Stephen T. Womack Jr., of Richmond, and other relatives. Remains rest at Bennett's Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Sunday, January 5, at 4 p.m. from Pace Memorial Methodist Church, Pine and Franklin Sts. Interment Hollywood Cemetery.

Eddens, of Birtie County, N.C., and Sallie Ann Elder, of Curtis County, Pa., and wife of Charles B. Luck, died on January 3, 1941 at the Richmond Home for Incurables in Richmond, Virginia, of Hypertension and cerebral hemorrhage, and was buried at Hollywood Cemetery on January 5, 1941 by A.W. Bennett Co., Inc. The informant was Mrs. S.J. Womack of 2211 Monument Avenue.
