When God saw fit in His divine providence to take mother, the hearts of loved ones were filled with sorrow. The life had ceased no more pain to bear. She was born in Catahoula Parish, October 4th, 1863 and later came to Winn parish where she resided until death came May 28, 1937, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Norval Taylor. She was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church for a number of years, and had been in ill health for several months and was confined to her bed ten weeks before her death.
She was laid to rest in Hebron Cemetery, Rev. L. D. Emmons officiated.
