One of seven children born to Carolus & Lucy (Elmore) Featherston.

He married Anna Green on Jan. 18, 1814 in Charlotte Co., Virginia.

They were the parents of 11 children:

3) William Eppes (Aug. 1822-Apr. 1, 1905)
4) Burwell (Abt 1823 D: Betwn 1830-1839)

6) Lucy Ann (B: 1825)
7) Sarah Jane (B: 1828 D: Jun3 11, 1861)
8) Robert J. (B: Betwn 1828-1830 D: Bef 1900)
9) Mary E. (B: Betwn 1830-1832 D: Abt 1859)
10) Jeremiah M. (B: 1834 D: Sept. 16, 1898)
11) Nancy Moriah (B: 1838)

Rev. Jeremiah Featherston owned land in Southport, and was the founder of the First Little Buck Creek Baptist Church, later changed to Southport Baptist Church in Marion Co., Southport, Indiana.

In his will he left ground that was to be the Featherston Cemetery.

A lot of the markers in the cemetery have been vandalized and destroyed by vandals.
