He brought his family to Fayette County, Kentucky and reported for the 1820 census there. A few years later Carolus moved over to Franklin County. Lucy died around 1825 not long after the move. Carolus Featherston wrote his will March 30, 1830. The will was produced for probate in Franklin County court April term of 1830. He named sons; Robert, James, William, Jeremiah, Burrell, Charles and John Featherston and daughters, Elizabeth Russell and Sally Wilkinson. His wife Lucy was not named.
