Henry E (B?) Lamb was born at Elba, Wisconsin, about 1845. He was a resident at Columbus, Wisconsin, when he enlisted as a private on December 30, 1863. Private Lamb was mustered into Company G, 23rd Wisconsin Infantry. He was transferred to Company G, 35th Wisconsin infantry, on July 1, 1865. Private Lamb was mustered out at Brownsville, Texas, on March 15, 1866. After the war he returned to Wisconsin where he filed for a Civil War veteran's disability pension October 4, 1888, and received certificate No. 794,211.
