Stephen Greenleaf Lamb was born on 20 April 1854 in Illinois, son of Hannibal Lamb and Melinda Enches. He was married on 2 December 1877 in Monroe County, Wisconsin to Phoebe Eva Bigelow. Eva was born on 29 January 1862 in Wisconsin, daughter Daniel Bigelow and Cornelia Harp.

Stephen and Eve lived in Lincoln, Monroe County, Wisconsin with their daughter Grace on 1 June 1880. Stephen was farming while Eve was keeping house.

On 25 June 1900, Stephen and Eva and their five children- Grace, Casper, Violet, Daniel, and Cornelia- lived in Grant township, Monroe County, Wisconsin. Stephen worked as a farmer. Violet and Daniel were attending school.

Stephen died on 10 November 1907 in Wisconsin.

On 3 May 1910, Eva lived in Grant township with her four children- Casper, Violet, Cornelia, and Grace ABrown@; along with her three children- Eva, Stephen, and Jessmond. Eva and Casper were running their farm.

On 20 April 1920, Eva was living with her son Casper on his farm in Grant township.

Phoebe Eva died on 3 October 1926 in Wisconsin.

The couple is buried in the Lincoln township cemetery in Monroe County, Wisconsin.

Stephen and Eva (Bigelow) Lamb were the parents of six children (one died before 1900):

i. GRACE LAMB was born in October 1878 in Wisconsin. Grace was married to Frank Brennan.
ii. CASPER LAMB was born in April 1881 in Wisconsin.
iii. VIOLET LAMB was born in June 1886 in Wisconsin.
iv. DANIEL LAMB was born in August 1889 in Wisconsin.
v. CORNELIA LAMB was born in June 1897 in Wisconsin.
