This bit of information should be shared with those who helped solve the mystery of where her headstone was.

Samuel Pugh was buried in Green Hill in S-3 L-174 G-1. Lot 174 is the large lot purchased by William Carter Bain. Grave 1 would mean Samuel Pugh was the first person buried in that lot as he was buried October 31, 1891. His widow Emma Bain Pugh remarried Soron Minter Hornaday on 21 Jun 1906 in Greensboro. He died March 20, 1910 and is buried Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington, Alamance Co NC. You might want to expand his name from S R to Soron Minter. Emma was living in Burlington at the time of her death but died Sep 12, 1929 in Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro. She was buried in her inherited grave in the William Carter Bain family SD-3 Lot -174 G-5. G-5 means she was the 5th person buried in Lot 174.
