Children shown were: Emma E., Ida S., Edward, Arminius G., William W., Walter C., John and Alford. Mr. Bain was a builder/contractor. Family home was at 739 Pearson St. in Greensboro in the 1900 census (home still standing in 2005). By then, another child was shown as being May B. Bain. Also Emma E. had been married and widowed, with the last name of Pugh. Grandson Ernest F. Pugh was also living in the home.

His children Walt and Will were twins and never married, Min and May never married. John and Kate had no children.
