CHATSWORTH - Howard J. Pearson, 88, of Palmwood Health Care Center, Piper City, died at 6:59 a.m. Thursday (June 9, 1994) at Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Culkin-Diggle Funeral Home, Chatsworth, with Brad Long officiating. Burial will be in Chatsworth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Pearson was born March 21, 1906, in rural Chatsworth, a son of Edwin and Daisy Houchin Pearson. He married Lillian Elizabeth Drilling June 13, 1929, in Chatsworth. She died Dec. 10, 1979.
Surviving are two daughters, Marilyn Fortna and Phyllis Corban, both of Chatsworth; one son, Glenn Pearson, Lafayette, Ind.; one brother, Harold Pearson, Pontiac; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Mr. Pearson was a retired farmer. He was formerly employed by Diller Tile in Chatsworth and Piper City Locker.
He was a member of Chatsworth United Methodist Church.
