Marilyn was born on May 18, 1930, in Chats- worth, to Howard and Lillian (Drilling) Pearson. She was formally married to Richard Groskreutz, and later, William Fortna. They both precede her in death.
A member of the United Methodist Church of Chatsworth, Marilyn enjoyed attending church services every Sunday. An avid cook, Marilyn spent many hours in the kitchen, cooking for both family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. The love that she had for her family was palpable and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Phyllis (Pearson) Corban.
Burial will be at Chatsworth-Charlotte Cemetery.
