Lyman S. Hillabold was born in Syracuse, Indiana, on September 15, 1863 and died at Stafford, Kansas, May 4, 1928, at the age of 64 years 7 months and 19 days. He was the only survivor of his family, his father, mother, three brothers and one sister having preceded him in death. Mr. Hillabold was married to Lorena Sapp at Montgomery, Alabama, on July 23, 1919, she preceding him in death Dec. 25, 1924. He like his brothers followed the trade of jeweler until he was forced to retire on account of his health. He was a faithful husband, a worthy friend and a patient sufferer. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.W. Lee at the home of Mrs. Ida Hillabold Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Interment was made in Stafford Cemetery.
