HOWARD CLIFTON BAYSTON
APRIL 2, 1970

Funeral services for Howard Clifton Bayston, 77, of Chenoa were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 30, 1970, in Trinity Lutheran church of Chenoa with Rev. William Ufkes officiating. Interment was in the Chatsworth cemetery.
He died at 7:12 ;p.m. Friday in Mennonite hospital, Bloomington, following an illness of several months.
He was born July 19, 1892 in Chatsworth a son of Charles and Amanda Watson Bayston. He was educated in the Chatsworth schools. He married Elnora Haase on October 16, 1912, at Chatsworth.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Trinity Lutheran church.
Surviving are his wife, five sons; LaRoy, Chatsworth; Vernon, Chenoa; Dwayne, Onarga; Eldon, Cullom and Marvin, Kankakee; a daughter, Mrs. Al (Angelin) Miller of Kouts, INd. and a brother, William, Tremont, a sister, Mrs. Etta Gerjets, of Manson, Iowa, 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
Serving as pallbearers for Mr. Bayston were his grandsons, Darwin Bayston of Fairbury, Donald Bayston, of South Bend, Ind, Jim Franz, of Bloomington, Tom Bayston, of Onarga, Terry Bayston, of Kankakee and Kenneth Mattox of Valparaiso, Ind.
