RUTH WAGENFELD ALEXANDER
Mrs. Ruth Wagenfeld Alexander, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at Wesley Long Hospital.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Alexander served as the Director of Adult Students at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for 15 years. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Following her retirement, she became an active volunteer with the Northwest Food Bank of N.C. and Greensboro Urban Ministry. She also enjoyed working with miniatures and doing needlework. Ruth was an outgoing and giving person, seeking to help those who truly needed assistance.
Ruth is survived by her husband, William "Bill" N. Alexander of the home; one son, Robert Fort Alexander and wife Judy of Chesapeake, Va.; one brother-in-law, Jerry and wife Kim Alexander of Los Angeles, Calif. She was pre-deceased by one son, James Carl Alexander.
