ALONZO WETHERELL was born on January 12, 1865, in Farmington, MN. He died on December 18, 1954, at the age of 90, in the Wesley Hospital in Wadena. He and his wife are buried in the Verndale Green Lawn Cemetery. He married MARY ANN ADAMS in 1882. Mary Ann was born in February 9, 1867, the daughter of DANIEL ADAMS. Mary Ann who had lived in Wing River Township (Wadena County), Cass and Hubbard Counties, died on January 1, 1938 McHenry, ND. One daughter preceded Alonzo in death. They were survived by their daughter Mrs. John
Heinsen/Hintzen (ETHEL WETHERELL) of New Rockford, ND; son, LLOYD WETHERELL of Taconite, MN; and HARLEY WETHERELL of Vacaville, CA/ Bemidji, MN.
Mary Ann's remains were brought back for burial in the Verndale Green Lawn Cemetery. Services were held in the Verndale Methodist Church with Rev. Mathews of Staples officiating. She was survived by one nephew, JESSE HESS; and two nieces, Mrs. GEORGE PILGRIM and Mrs. OLIVER SMITH all of Verndale.
