Died in the Sheridan Care Center, in the company of seven of her eight children. Daughter of Stephen Daniel Porter and Cecil Ross Russell. She was raised and educated in the Sheridan-Willamina area. She was a member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. She loved gardening, collecting porcelain birds and spending time with her children and grandchildren. The family said she was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by two husbands. She and Richard Younger married Sept. 5, 1945. He died Jan. 15, 1956. She and Ralph B. Hansen married Sept. 28, 1956. He died July 21, 1980. Survivors include her companion of 23 years, Enoch Freels of Willamina; five daughters, Cassandra Scott, Cecilia Bissonette and Marietta "Mary" Leith, all of Sheridan, Jessica "Jesse" Braan of Grand Ronde and Stephanie Grim of Salem; three sons, Lewis Younger of Willamina, R. Edward Hansen of Salem and Richard Younger of Layton, UT; a brother, Birl Porter of Portland; a sister, Margie Knowlton; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
