WILLAMINA--Stephen Daniel Porter, 58, of 252 First St., died Thursday in the Veterans Hospital in Vancouver, Wash.

Born in Sheridan, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was employed as a logger.

Survivors include mother, Cecil Porter, Willamina; brothers, Riley, Salem, and Birl, Portland; sisters, Agnes Smith, Embler, Etta Hansen and Iva Daniels, both of Willamina, Myrtle Kowing, McMinnville, Celia Cell, Myrtle Creek, and Margie Knowlton, Dora.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Adamson mortuary and interment in Green Crest Memorial Park, Sheridan.
