Mrs. Clara Stock, who lived her entire lifetime in the Lone Tree community, was born to Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Buline on April 24, 1885 and passed away at the age of 89 and 6 months last Thursday, Oct. 24.

She married Elmer Lee Stock on June 26, 1907. They were the parents of 2 children, Bernard and Dorothy (Dougherty).

Her life centered around her family; a loving wife, a devoted mother, an ardent grandmother to her beloved Patti and Carmi, and a constant admirer of her son-in-law, Bob.

Another love was for her church. She was a life-long member of the Reformed Church up to and including the present Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree.

Club activities that filled her life were Rebekahs, Past Noble Grands, Farm Bureau Women, Relief corps, Y Book Club and City Farmerettes.

Her last years consisted of a lingering illness spending the last 9 1/2 years in both the Phares Nursing Home and the Lone Tree Health care center.

Preceding her in death were her husband Elmer in 1946 and her son Bernard in 1966. She leaves her family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dougherty and Carmi, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Welsh.

Services, with the Rev. Wilbur Nolte officiating, were held Saturday, Oct. 26 In the Presbyterian Church, arranged by Sorden’s. The Rebekahs paid Mrs. Stock tribute by their appearance as a group.

Vocalist was her nephew, Dale Brlnkmeyer. Organist was Mrs. Garold Brinkmeyer. Pallbearers consisted of her nephews, Garold Brinkmeyer, Archie Buline, Everett Buline, Fred Hahn, Kenneth Plum, Howard Stock, Jim Stock, and Leland Stock.
