PIQUA - Terry Belt, 66, of 123 S. Roosevelt Ave., Piqua, died at the VA Hospital in Dayton, Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 12:30 a.m.
He was born Dec. 15, 1945, the son of Robert and Mildred (Tucker) Belt, who preceded him in death. He had three brothers who also preceded him in death: Robert "Bobby" Jr. in 1962, Mark in 2000, and Tracy in 2005.
Survivors include a daughter, Ginger Elsass, of Port Jefferson; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nine brothers and sisters: Melvin (Dora) Belt, of Aurora, Colo.; Carla (Bill) Thornton, of Georgia; Randy (Janet) Belt, Bruce (Rita) Belt, and Tod Belt, all of Sidney; Penny McElrath, of West Virginia; Lisa Wilson, of Carlisle; Tim (Vicky) Belt, of Anna; and Melanie Bausom, of Indianapolis, Ind. He has many nieces and nephews.
He loved spending time with his family. He loved doing jigsaw puzzles, reading, darts and pool.
Terry was a 1965 graduate of Anna High School. He served in the Army. He was a Vietnam veteran.
Graveside services with military honors were held at the Dayton National Cemetery on June 29, 2012.
