Bruce Alan Belt, 71, of Sidney passed away on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023, at Hospice of Miami County In-Patient Center. He was born Dec. 1, 1951, in Anna, Ohio, the son of the late Robert L. Sr., and Mildred E. (Tucker) Belt. On July 22, 1978, he married Rita Jacobs who preceded him in death July 27, 2021.

Bruce is survived by daughter Tracie (Travis) Fleming, six grandchildren, Nicholas, Emily and Abigail (Abby) Fleming. Lily, Quintin and Isaac Belt. One great-grandson DJ Crawford. Brothers, Tod (Denise) Belt, Randy (Janet) Belt. Sisters Carla (William) Thornton, Penny McElwarth, Lisa (Jerry) Wilson, Melanie Bausom and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son David Belt and brothers Robert L. Jr., Tracy, Terry, Mark, Melvin and Tim.

Bruce retired from Thieman Stamping where he worked as a welder and estimator. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp and U.S Army. From 2003 - 2011. He was a certified Advanced EMT and volunteered with Houston EMS. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1403, and Sidney American Legion Post 217. Bruce will be missed by his four legged terrier: Peanut, who was always by his side after the passing of Rita.

Visitation and services will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, Saturday, August 19, from 10 a.m. until noon at which time a service of military honors presented by the US Marine Corps and the Shelby County Veterans will commence and a memorial by David Fleming.
