Born April 19, 1930, in Springfield Township, she was the daughter of the late Porter and Olive (Brown) Wilson. She was united in marriage to Ernest Wayne Grissinger June 17, 1946. Mr. Grissinger preceded her in death.
Mrs. Grissinger is survived by six children, Betty Louise Leighton and husband, Denver, of St. Thomas, Nancy Stains of Three Springs, Linda Kelly and husband, Eugene, of Three Springs, Judy Pyles and husband, George, of Neelyton, Larry Grissinger and wife, Joyce, and David Grissinger, all of Three Springs; a daughter-in-law, Rose Grissinger of Three Springs, who was married to the late Gary Grissinger.
She is also survived by two sisters, Freda Cohenour of Three Springs and Bessie Bennett of Edenville.
She was preceded in death by two children, Harold “Mooch” Grissinger and Gary Grissinger; and her siblings, Alberta, Minola, Martha, Margaretta, Betty, Otis, Pete, Bub and an infant sister.
Mrs. Grissinger attended the Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, Three Springs.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Grissinger loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved cooking for everyone and was known for her homemade pies. Mrs. Grissinger enjoyed canning, gardening, baking and spent many hours quilting and embroidering.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Immanuel Bible Church, Three Springs, with the Rev. Ron Folk officiating. Interment will be made in Cherry Grove Cemetery, Three Springs.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the church.
