Born in 1941 to Cecil and Irene Collins of Clyde, Texas, Bobbie was the youngest of five much loved siblings: Robert Collins (d.1989), Cecile Petty, Alice Ann Crawford (d.1978) and Della Lee. Throughout the 50s, the Collins children dominated West Texas basketball and tennis and Bobbie was no exception, rising to state level competition in both. She carried this love of sports with her to East Texas State and then a career as a teacher, coach and mentor to many in the Abilene, Cleburne and Lewisville schools. Golf was her final passion for which she participated in many tournaments, won many and helped organize various tournaments to benefit worthy causes in Dallas and Gun Barrel City areas.
Bobbie was greatly loved and cherished by her children Darla Laughter of Boerne Texas, Bill Aldridge of Denver Colorado and Nanette Aldridge (d.1984) as well as grandchildren and friends who thank God for Bobbie and her values: love and acceptance of everyone and an ability to enjoy life to the fullest.

Memorial Lakeside Service: Sat, July 7, 5-6pm, at her home, Gun Barrel City, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bobbie Aldridge Memorial Fund which will distribute to her favorite charities including Hospice and SPCA.
