William Sidney was called Sidney during his life and signed his name as W. S. Harris. He married the former Cora Helen Davis on April 7, 1915 and over time they had four children, Burl J., Mary Alice, Paul Lewis and Hebert William. Sidney worked as a farmer and later as a carpenter. He worked in the shipyards in Wilmington, NC during WW II initially commuting between Mt. Gilead and Wilmington and then relocating to Wilmington. He later moved to Norfolk, VA. Sidney was also married to Beulah Boney and after her death she was buried near her first husband.
