He was a Major in the local Westford post Revolutionary Militia. He came to Cavendish with his family & married Experience "Pedee" Hildreth(1771-1849), his Cousin @ Ludlow, Vermont 1/29/1792.
He enrolled in the Revolution at a young age, about 15 years old & gave service on Land & Sea. He was in the Revolutionary War from 9/1779 - 3/1783.
Leonard Proctor, Jr & his wife Pedee children were:
1. Betsey Proctor(1792-) married Asa Bond
2. Asa Proctor(1798-) married Lorena Proctor, daughter of Silas Proctor & his wife Olive Read.
3 Abel Proctor(1800-1888) He was in War of 1812. married Mary Moffatt & they lived in Scales Mound, Ill.
4. Experience Proctor"Pedee" Twin(1800-)
5, Lydia Proctor(-1838)married William Conant of Plymouth, VT
He died in his 47th year, 2/19/11812 @ Cavendish, VT
His wife remarried to William Bond & she died 7/24/1849.
