Cleo Boler, 89, of Norman, died peacefully Sunday, June 17, 2012.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at McMahan Funeral Home in Noble. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park of Norman.

"Dear Mother, we will see you in the Kingdom," Johnnie.

"There couldn't have been a better mother, so gentle and kind in spirit. Everyone's friend, she made you laugh while she laughed," Julie.

She was born Sept. 19, 1922, and grew up in Blue. She was a member of the Church of Christ and worked for Griffin Memorial Hospital in food service, sewing and as a nurse as well as attending hair school. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and her friends as well as serving her God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Boler in 2001; her siblings Annie Hickman, Alice Bell Hickman, Henry Allene Moore Hickman, Lloyd Hickman, Floyd Hickman, Taylor Hickman, Jim Hickman, Dan Hickman, Garlon Hickman, Julia Resy Hickman Cornelison and Leo Ray Hickman; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her son, Johnnie Lee Boler of Norman; her daughter, Julie Lynn Boler Little of Norman; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at McMahan Funeral Home in Noble.
