Ernest A. Fowler, 83, Wilton, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at Muscatine Care Center, Muscatine. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton. The Rev. Wayne Fredericksen will officiate.

Visitations are 5-8 p.m. today at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton and one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church. Mr. Fowler was born January 18, 1919, in Wilton, the son of John and Ethel Callahan Fowler. He married Leona M. Jarr April 6, 1940, in Kahoka, Mo. He was employed at Russelloy Foundry, Durant, for 31 years, retiring in 1984. In early years he cared for cattle and farmed. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Margaret Ellsworth; a son, Howard Fowler; a sister, Vera Peters; and two brothers, Wayne Fowler and Paul Fowler.
