Edward J. Baldinger, 66, died of an apparent heart attack early this morning in a Kent hospital. The Galion native had been a professor at the University of Dayton and the University of Seattle before his retirement from teaching five years ago. A sister, Mrs. Carl (Joyce) Wildenthaler, survives in Galion. Mr. Baldinger then was employed by the Austin Company and had retired from that firm last month. He was a 1933 graduate of Galion High School and of the University of Notre Dame. He attended Michigan State University and held membership in the Methodist Church. Born Sept. 7, 1915, he was the son of Edward N. and Margaret (McCartney) Baldinger. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death. Surviving besides his sister in Galion are his wife, the former Lucille Pletcher, whom he married Jan. 1, 1942; a daughter, Mrs. James (Nancy) Klobucher, Kent, Wash., and a sister Mildred Baldinger, Bucyrus. Memorial services are pending in Washington.
