Mrs Birtcil of Knox Dies - Mrs Ladine (sic) H Birtcil, 58, of Knox died Tuesday evening (Feb 25) in the Blose Convalescent Home in Punxsutawney following a lingering illness. She was born July 8, 1905, in Knox, the daughter of Rhody B and Effie Wise Hall. She was married to Allen Newton Birtcil in 1929. Mrs Birtcil is survived by her father, Rhody Hall of Orlando, Fla; two sons, Robert Birtcil of Atlanta, Georgia, and Roger Birtcil of Alexandria, Va; two sisters, Mrs Viola Alford of Brookville and Mrs Elsie Mae Kruger of Hadley; and two brothers, Harry Hall of Euclid, Ohio, and Jack Hall of Knox. Mrs Birtcil's husband and a daughter, Joyce, preceded her in death. She was a member of the Edenburg Presbyterian Church of Knox and of the Eastern Star of Clarion. Friends may call at the William N Rupert Funeral Home at Knox. Services will be conducted at 2 pm Friday at the funeral home with Rev Robert Reader of the Edenburg Presbyterian Church officiating.
