LIBERTYVILLE — LIBERTYVILLE — Barbara Jeane Bales, of Libertyville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at the age of 74. She attended New Life Fellowship Church.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Eddie Bales; her three children, Steve Bales and his wife Phyllis, Cheryl Dickerson and her husband Steve, and Doug Bales and his wife Mary; five grandchildren, Amanda Bales, Josh Piper and his wife Sabrina, Amy Piper, Emily Bales, and Wyatt Bales; two great-grandchildren, Colton Piper and Kinsley Piper Higgins; three sisters, Elaine Moore of Ozark, Mo., Carol McNeely and husband Kevin of Pueblo, Colo., and Betty Jones and her husband Ed of N. Richland Hills, Texas; and a brother, Gary Niel; numerous other family and friends; and her little brown dog, Buster. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Shirley May.

She retired from Glas-Col in Terre Haute after over 20 years of service.

Barbara's funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011. in New Life Fellowship Church, 7849 Wabash Ave., in Terre Haute with the Rev. Jeffrey Harpole officiating. Burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday also in the church. There also will be visitation from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday in the church. The family kindly suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to New Life Fellowship building fund with envelopes available in the church. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
