Lucia Owens -ROCHELLE - Lucia Owens, age 68, of 906 Gordon Road, Rochelle, passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2P.M. Monday, November 24, 2008 in the Christian Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Stephens and Dr. Ruben Roberts will officiate. Interment will be in the Christian Hill Cemetery. -Mrs. Owens was born on May 4, 1940 in Wilcox County and was the daughter of the late Emmett McDuffie and Cynthia Leno Duncan McDuffie. She was a nurse at Taylor Regional Hospital and was a member of the Christian Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lee Owens, Sr. in 2008 and a son Danny Owens in 1979. -Survivors include sons, Joseph L. Owens, Jr., Luther Owens, Mark Owens, Paul Owens, Timmie Owens, Matthew Owens and Levi Owens; daughter, Lisa Moorhouse all of Wilcox County; brothers, Franklin McDuffie and Joel W. McDuffie; sisters, Christine James and Evon Flowd; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. -Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, November 23, 2008 in the funeral home. -Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
