Hubie was born Nov. 12, 1932, in Allenton to Joseph and Loretta (Ruf) Konrath.
He was united in marriage to Dorothy Hefter on April 30, 1955, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nenno.
Hubie was the owner of Hubie's Hardware in Allenton for 35 years. He also farmed and drove truck throughout his life.
He enjoyed traveling, polka music and was one of the organizers for the Concertina Fest in Allenton.
Hubie was a member of the Allenton Rotary Club where he received the Paul Harris award. He was also a member of the Allenton Advancement Association and Resurrection Catholic Church in Allenton.
Hubie is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Dorothy; six children, Evelyn (Michael) Ritger, Joyce (special friend Jay Giese) Brugger, Kay (Jeff) Giese, all of Allenton, Roy (Diane) Konrath of Menomonee Falls, David (Sandi) Konrath of Horicon, and Rita (Tim) Krielkamp of Allenton; 14 grandchildren, Andy, Scott, Kelly, Travis (Jessica), BobbiJean, Allicia, Calvin, Curtis, Brittany, Kristine, Chaz, Liz, Jake and Luke; two great-grandchildren, Ellie and George; his sister and brothers, Annabelle Moser of Allenton, Allen (Margie) Konrath of Allenton and Lloyd (Pat) Konrath of Germantown. He is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Vincent Moser.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at noon Saturday at Resurrection Catholic Church, 215 Main St., Allenton, with Fr. Joseph Dominic officiating.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the church.
Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Allenton.
