Craven Harris is the husband of Martha Patsey (Morgan) Harris, please make note that as of this writing and date, June 24, 2019, No Official Document exist which proves that this same Craven Harris had a middle name. An "Official Document" must be included with any request to add any additional names, Prefix or Suffix to his name Craven Harris It has not yet been confirmed who the parents of this same Craven Harris were, but DNA results have proven that this same Craven Harris is not the same Craven Harris whose line goes back to a Burr Calvert Alias Harrison Alias Harris, please read all information below.

Some have chosen to go ahead and place our Craven Harris as a son of a George Harris (ca. 1758 - ca 1819), but our Craven Harris line's DNA does not match with the George Harris (ca. 1758 - ca 1819). son of Burr Calvert Alias Harrison Alias Harris. The added family line history (by person/or persons who had DNA tested listed him connected to Burr Calvert Alias Harrison alias Harris, and our Harris line's DNA results does not match with Burr Calvert Alias Harrison alias Harris's family line.

Craven Buckley Harris who is also listed in the family line info. of some who had their DNA tested, and they have him shown as the son of George Harris (ca. 1758 - ca 1819),who married a Martha. Since our Harris line's DNA results does not match the DNA results of Burr Calvert Alias Harrison alias Harris, I cannot claim these people to be part of our line. They are either not related and there were two Craven Harris' and two George Harris or the persons who listed them connected to Burr Calvert Alias Harrison alias Harris have a non-paternal event involved somewhere.

Craven Harris and his wife, Martha Patsey (Morgan) Harris both died in 1869, in Blount Co., AL, but there is no record of their burial location there and they do not have a marker.

Craven Harris and Martha Patsey (Morgan) Harris were in St. Clair Co., AL when the 1830 U.S. Census was taken. They later lived in Blount Co., AL and were in the 1850 census; AL; Blount Co; Subdivision No. 18; and they are in the 1860 Census; Eastern Subdivision, Blount Co., AL in the 1860 Census - listed as Curvin Harris and Martha Harris with a Mack Harris (age 15) living with them.

They are listed in the 1866 Blount County, Alabama State Census. (See Copy of this census in the photo section).

Craven Harris, husband of Martha Patsey (Morgan) Harris, is listed in the Alabama, Voter Registration, 1867 Blount County, Alabama; Election District # 33; Precinct # 16; He voted on July 27, 1867. There is also a Craven Harris, Jr. on this same Alabama, Voter Registration, 1867 Blount County, Alabama; Election District # 33; Precinct # 16 and he is probably the son of Craven Harris, Sr. and Martha Patsey (Morgan) Harris.

Craven Harris and Martha Patsey (Morgan) Harris's children were:

(1) Washington "W.W." Harris (1818 Edgefield Co., SC - 1902 Etowah Co., AL), he married Elizabeth Webb on Dec 03, 1835 in St. Clair Co., AL. Elizaeth Webb was born 1820, daughter of John Marshall Webb and Jane (Quinn) Webb. Washington "W.W." Harris and Elizabeth Webb Harris are both buried at Webb Cemetery in Etowah Co., AL.

(2) Mary Ann "Polly" Harris (1818 Edgefield SC -1870 Walker Co., AL), she married 1st to William Phillips on May 09, 1835 St. Clair Co., AL; she married 2nd to William Luden Tidwell on May 12, 1842 in St. Clair Co., AL.

(3) Warren Harris (1825 St. Clair Co., AL)he married Elizabeth Blessing.

(4) Elizabeth Harris (1833 Blount Co., AL)

(5) Thomas Morgan Harris (29 Sept. 1835 Blount Co., AL - 26 Sept 1902 Warrior, Jefferson Co., AL), he married 1st to Margaret R. Windsor on Jan 01, 1856 in St. Clair Co., AL; he married 2nd to Susannah B. (MNU) on May 26, 1878 in DeKalb Co., AL; he married 3rd to Sidney Adeline Isaacs in 1889 Alabama.

(6) Madison Harris (1837 AL)

(7) Craven Harris, Jr. (Born between 1826-1836 Alabama). CAUTION!!! I did not add my Unmarked Grave photo, (which is the same as the photo on this memorial), to the Craven Buckley Harris, Jr. memorial. It was copied and pasted to the photo without my asking for my permission to do so. Photo by Judith Nan Lewis is in the bottom right hand corner of my photo and background is from photo belonging to immediate family member. I am sending message to please remove my photo from the memorial as when one sees it, they may think I added it. While Craven Harris had a son Craven Harris , the Jr. added to the son's name in places is for the first name, Craven. Many mistakes are made by quickly assuming that all who add a Jr. after their name are named exactly after their fathers, in the census many Jr.'s have a different middle name than their fathers, as is the same situation with many of the first name I, first name II and first name III. Only an Official Document proves for sure if the Sr. and Jr. means that their full given names are identical. Also, the census have many father's and son's who list a nickname , surname and a Sr. or Jr. In the event that the younger Craven Harris, Jr. had the middle name Buckley, or a nickname Buckley that he added on a civil war record still does not prove that his father had a middle name Buckley. His father's full given name must be proven by Official Documentation, for it to be accurate. Also, while a son may add Jr. to a first and middle name, and surname on an Official Document , this son has only given Official Documentation for his own full name. The father's middle name, if one exist, must be proven by his own individual Official Document. In respect of those loved ones who have passed on, our hope is that the name on their memorial is the name they used, signed by, and/or the name they would hope to be remembered by. If they did not use a middle name, they had a reason, either they did not have one, or they didn't like their middle name. If we chose to add their full given name and they did have a middle name we must make sure it is correct. Names are much easier to add than to remove from all the records of everyone who found the memorial and recorded the wrong middle name. Sadly, what normally happens in this type of situation is that many trying to decided which middle name is right will add the wrong middle name along with the correct middle name and then it continues to be added to the loved one's name for a very long long time.
