Gas City – Dolores L. Sousley, 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 27, 2012.

She was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 11, 1922 to the late Frederick V. and Carrie (Boeke) Bumb. Dolores married Wendall Sousley on June 1, 1946, and after 65 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on February 26, 2012.

She was an elementary education teacher, and a missionary/pastor's wife. Dolores and her husband pastored in Hawaii from 1953–1977 and then in Elkhart from 1978-1987. She was a member of the Osolo Missionary Church of Elkhart and attended Pioneer Faith Evangelical Church. Dolores was involved in various women's societies and mission organizations. She was a gifted teacher who enjoyed teaching the Bible to children and adults. She enjoyed music and was an excellent cook with the gift of hospitality.

Survivors include her daughter, Lois (David) Pannabecker, South Bend; son, Jonathan (Kim) Sousley, Fox Island, WA; daughter, Deborah (Lorne) Oke, Gas City; grandchildren, Michelle (Jack) Campbell, Andrew (Janell) Pannabecker, Brandon (Crystal) Pannabecker, Dustin Sousley, Makenzie Sousley, Katie (Jeff) McNutt, Kristie Oke, Emily Oke, and Connor Oke; 5 great-grandchildren; and brother, Frederick (Janet) Bumb, Evansville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Oliver Bumb, Ruth Hillyard, Marion Mueller, Emaline Kleinknecht, and Betty Grabert.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday, June 28 2012 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana and 1 hour prior to service at the church.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Westview Wesleyan Church, 1300 W. 6th Street, Jonesboro, with Dr. David Pannabecker and Reverend Dean Terrell officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Missionary Church, Hawaii District, 89-235 Pua Avenue, Waianae, HI 96792.
