T. E. Spurlock, died at his home near Downsville yesterday afternoon at 6:15 o'clock
following a brief illness. The funeral was held at the Concord Methodist Church
near Chatham this afternoon at 3 o'clock with the pastor, Rev. Elijah Hearne,
officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Spurlock is survived by his wife, and the following children: George, Albert,
Houston, Horace and Gerolene Spurlock, all of Downsville, Gordon and Riley Spurlock
of Barksdale Field, T. H. Spurlock of West Monroe, Howard Spurlock of Indiana, and
Rufus Spurlock of the Hawaiian Islands.
His friends served as pallbearers.
