Abigail outlived her husband by more than 30 years and died of "old age" (84y, 3m) in Dracut on Apr. 15, 1860 (as shown on her tombstone; some records show Apr. 3 or 5). She was laid to rest in the same cemetery as her husband, the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, Mass.
