Abigail Griffin (or Griffen) was born on Jan. 3, 1776 in Methuen, Massachusetts Bay Colony, to Joseph and Abigail Griffin (or Griffen), both of Methuen.

Abigail married James Mansur, Jr., then of Dracut, Mass. in late Oct. or early Nov. 1801. Their intentions to marry in Methuen were filed on Oct. 26, 1801.

Abigail outlived her husband by more than 30 years and died of "old age" (84y, 3m) in Dracut on Apr. 15, 1860 (as shown on her tombstone; some records show Apr. 3 or 5). She was laid to rest in the same cemetery as her husband, the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, Mass.
