Carl B. Logue, 61, Wabash Employee, Dies
Carl B. (Red) Logue, 61, of 825 N. 33rd St., died at 7:35 a.m. today in Decatur and Macon County Hospital where he had been confined since Monday noon. He had been in failing health about two years.
Born in Avina, IL., March 12, 1891, he was the son of William H. and Laura Sapp Logue. He married Mamie Dell Breeze of St. Elmo on March 12, 1912. Mrs. Logue died Dec. 23, 1943.
Logue had lived in Decatur 33 years, coming here from Avina. He retired as a Wabash Railroad carman nine years ago. Logue was a member of the Methodist Church and the Loyal Order of Moose 684.
He leaves one son, Mervil, Decatur; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Mair, Pekin, Mrs. Lucille Campbell, Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Hazel Cade, Decatur; five grandchildren; one brother, Harold, Avina; and three sisters, Mrs. Beulah Miller, Brownstown, Mrs. Leona Schneiter, Taylorville, and Mrs. Mary Garrison, Avina.
The body is in the J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
