Mrs. Lettie Letha Shelton, 67 years old, died at her residence, 403 south Meridian Street, at 12:10 a.m. today after an illness of eight weeks.
The daughter of Alex and Martha (Prater) Potts, she was born April 5, 1892, in Reeve Township, where she was educated and was a member of the Reeve Township EUB church. She was married July 26, 1915, to Louis B. Shelton and he survives.
In addition to her husband, she leaves four children: Wilbur E. Shelton, Mrs. James (Pearl) Evans, Mrs. William (Virginia) Tomey, and Richard E. Shelton, all of this city; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and five brothers: Wilton Potts, city; Harley Potts, Harrison township, Ross Potts, Montgomery, Paul Potts, Reeve township, and Chas. Potts, Gary, IN. A son, Herman Leon Shelton, was killed in action in World War II (1944) and three other children have preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Gill chapel with Rev. Robert P. Hawkins in charge and burial in the Oak Grove cemetery in Reeve township. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.

Funeral for Mrs. Lettie Shelton will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Gill funeral chapel. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery in Reeve township. Rev. R.P. Hawkins will be the minister.
