Mrs. Martha Ann Gresham Hammond, age 74, of Lindale, passed away Saturday June 23, 2012 in a Rome Medical Center.
Mrs. Hammond was born November 19, 1937, in Floyd County, a daughter of the late Sidney Gresham, Sr. and Bomer Loveless Gresham. Mrs. Hammond was of the Baptist Faith. She loved being an army wife always supporting her husband during his career in the United States Army. Mrs. Hammond was a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by brothers, Sidney Gresham, Jr. and Charles Gresham.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Warner E. Hammond, son and daughter in law, Gregory and Lyn Hammond, Acworth; grandchildren, Shelby Danielle Hammond, Shane David Hammond and his finance, Taylor; brothers, Larry (Edna) Gresham, Panama City, FL: Ronald (Ida) Gresham, Fayetteville, NC; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside and Interment services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday June 27, 2012 at Floyd Memory Gardens, with Rev. Frank Terpening, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday June 26, 2012 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 AM Wednesday, Gregory Hammond, Shane Hammond, Ronald Gresham, Ronald Gresham, Jr. Mark Wallace, and Mike Wallace.
