Mrs. P.I. Ehrenberg Passes Away At Her Home Here Monday

Death Monday ended the sufferings of Mrs. P.I. Ehrenberg, who had been in ill health and virtually blind the past three years, she passing away at her home at 9:55 a.m. Her condition had been critical the previous week. Death was attributed to hardening of the arteries.

Edith May Hottling was born in Wisconsin, March 10, 1866. She passed away at her home in Creighton September 20, 1937, at the age of 61 years nine months and ten days.

On March 19, 1898, she was united in marriage to Peter I. Ehrenberg at Springfield, Mo. To this union six children, four daughters and two sons, were born, one son, Robert Carson, dying in infancy.

She was a member of the Baptist church. She united with the church of her choice 38 years ago at New Hope, Mo.

Among those who will cherish her in their memories are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Clark Smith of Spencer, Nebr.; Mrs. Frank Norwood, Mrs. Ray Peregoy and Mrs. Louis Neil, all of Creighton; one son, Morris Ehrenberg of Creighton; five sisters, one brother, ten grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church here at 2 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, the pastor, the Rev. Minar A. Gerrand, officiating. Burial was made in Greenwood cemetery.

****A sister of Mrs. Ehrenberg,
Mrs. Cora Dean
of Des Moines, who came here a week ago Saturday to see her and left the next day, died Wednesday last week of auto accident injuries suffered enroute home. Her funeral was held Friday at Des Moines.

Note, discrepancy in date of birth. Edith's maiden name is spelled Hotelling in her husbands obituary. Other records list it as Hotalling
