Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Hengstler chapel for Mrs. Ada Ema L. Conwell, who passed away at Niobrara Feb. 16. She was 91 years of age. The Rev. J.L. Garland of the Federated church officiated at the rites. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.
The deceased was born Sept. 13, 1855 in Obal county, Illinois. When seven years of age she accompanied her parents to Iowa to live. In 1874 at Vallisco, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Prettyman Conwell, who preceded her in death. To this union was born one son, John, who survives his mother.
Mrs. Conwell resided in this community for many years and for 40 years lived on a farm south of Creighton. For the past 13 months, she had been living with her son, at Niobrara and it was there that she passed away.
