Died In Creighton
George M. Baer, former Verdigre resident, died in Creighton Nov. 24. Funeral services were held in Creighton Tuesday afternoon last week and burial was in Greenwood cemetery.
Born on Jan. 8, 1880 in Iowa, he moved to a farm near Winnetoon at the age of 12 with his parents. On Oct. 23, 1904 he was married to Minnie Sonder. In 1910 the family moved to Montana to reside on a homestead and in 1930 they returned to Winnetoon.
In 1928 Mr. Baer and his family moved to Verdigre and from here they went to Winnetoon and back to Creighton. He had been employed by the C&NW Railway for 23 years and retired in Feb. 1945.
Surviving are his wife, five sons and one daughter and nine grandchildren. Four children preceded Mr. Baer in death.
