Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Virginia McNeil Brown, 85, died Friday, July 30, 2004 at her home. She was born January 30, 1919 in Francis, Utah to Thomas William McNeil and Minnie Johan Peterson. Married Walter William Brown March 24, 1939; later divorced. Attended South Summit High School and Stevens Henager Business College. Virginia worked for Prudential Federal Savings for over 25 years, retiring as branch manager; member of the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce. She also held a variety of executive positions and was named "Woman of the Year" in the local chapter of the American Business Women's Association. She loved her family and friends and will be remembered for her generosity, compassion, and quick wit. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and enjoyed gardening, travel, and rooting for the Utah Jazz. Survived by daughters, Sharon Angus, Salt Lake City, Carole (Dennis) Lazenby, Francis, UT; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Daniel B. Angus; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Francis LDS Ward, (285 E. 2200 So.). Funeral services held on Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at the Winder West Stake Center, 1250 E. 4530 S. Murray, UT. Interment, Francis Cemetery.
