TEMPLETON, PHYLLIS MEADOWS,89, of Richmond, formerly of Crewe, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack K Templeton and Joseph A Meadows, Jr.; and a son, Richard L Meadows. She is survived by her two sons, Joseph A Meadows, III and wife, Donna, of Prince George and Douglas L Meadows and wife, Pat of Amelia. Daughter-in-law, Sarah Meadows, four grandchildren, Debbie Forkins, Rhonda Owen, Kim Walker and Rick Meadows, and seven great-grandchildren. A very loving and caring mother and grandmother was born in Shenandoah, raised her three sons in Crewe, then moved to Newport News, where she worked as civil service clerk at Fort Eustis until her retirement. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16 at Crewe Cemetery with Pastor Vernon Gilmer, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Amelia County Emergency Squad. Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home in Crewe is in charge of arrangements.
