Boneta Francis Clawson, age 95 of Stillwater, formerly of Yale, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Boneta was born on August 1, 1916 in Oilton, Oklahoma to the late Ed and Henryetta Elizabeth (Money) Cassaw.
She grew up in Oilton and attended school at Buckeye.
Boneta married the love of her life Robert Earl Clawson on March 1, 1937 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. They traveled with his oilfield position for a number of years before settling in Wewoka. Upon retirement, they moved to Yale. She enjoyed crocheting, playing tennis and bowling. Boneta helped with demonstrations of food and other items in various stores for a few years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and later the Fellowship Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter; son and wife; six grandchildren and spouses; nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five sisters.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Yale and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Fellowship Baptist Church, Yale, OK with Brother Mich Dershem officiating. Interment will follow at Underwood Cemetery, Yale, Oklahoma.
