Harry Schmuch Dies at Age of 47
After an illness which had its inception a month ago, Harry Schmuch died at 5 a.m. today at his home, 1044 Washington avenue, at the age of 47 years. He had been making apparent improvement up to yesterday and his death came after an unexpected relapse.
Schmuch had been a resident of Alton for the last 10 years, having moved to this city with his family from Collinsville. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rose Schmuch, and two sons, Victor and Jack Schmuch. He also leaves eight sisters and two brothers at Davenport, IA.
Funeral services are to be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Bauer & Hoehn funeral home to Oakwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday.
